About Membership
PFMA is the principal trade association for the prepared pet food industry and currently comprises 51 member companies. Collectively, our members represent about 90% of the UK market and produce a whole range of products for cats, dogs and other pet animals.

Membership Benefits
The PFMA's work is conducted through a committee-based structure in which all member companies are invited to participate. Policies for the pet food industry are formed in these committees in direct response to legislative and technical matters. All PFMA members are kept up-to-date on the Association's activities and are regularly consulted on specific issues. Members also have access to an extranet, which includes a large amount of legislative and technical information.

Other services to members include support on technical and regulatory matters, free workshops (held as necessary), an annual seminar, assistance with public and media issues and the chance to participate in a regular market data scheme at no charge.

How to Become a Member
To be eligible for membership of the PFMA, companies must manufacture in the UK or sell their products in the UK and have a UK based sales and marketing operation. New members must be referred by two current members of the PFMA.
